AUSTIN, Texas — What was billed as one of the premier pitching matchups in college baseball this season was anything but that in a 13-6 Texas win over Kansas State.
Plenty of scouting eyeballs were in the house at Disch-Falk Field to see Kansas State lefthander Jordan Wicks against Texas righthander Ty Madden. But both pitchers struggled with command at times, and both also were hit hard at times.
