The D-backs have agreed to a Minor League deal with veteran outfielder Josh Reddick, a source told MLB.com’s Steve Gilbert on Monday. The club hasn’t confirmed the deal.
Reddick also posted a photo of the D-backs’ logo on Instagram on Monday with the caption, “The Next Chapter.”
According to The Arizona Republic’s Nick Piecoro, Reddick’s deal will be worth $750,000 if he makes the Majors. For now, Reddick will report to the D-backs’ alternate site.
The 34-year-old spent the past four seasons with the Astros. Reddick batted .245 with four home runs and 23 RBIs in 56 games in 2020 after batting .279 while averaging 15 homers and 62 RBIs from 2017-19.
